Road 96

WHAT'S ROAD 96 ?

Summer 1996, it’s D-day.

You take the road on foot. Adventure. Freedom. Escape. Chases. Escape the regime. Stay alive.

On this perilous road trip to the border, you’ll meet colorful characters and discover the stories and secrets that bind them together in an ever-changing adventure.
But every mile you travel presents a new choice. Through your decisions, you can change your adventure, change the people you meet, and maybe even change the world.

Thousands of roads run through the authoritarian nation of Petria.
Which one will you take?

MY WORK

During my internship, my job was to design levels based on an idea summary from the creative director. That is to say that there was a guideline but then it was up to us to be creative and make it real and coherent.

In the levels there are a lot of cutscenes, dialogues, scenes. I had to create in 1 week the blockout of the map, all the logic of the map (in visual scripting) and design the cinematics as well as the first dialogues which will be retouched later by a narrative designer.

Then each week a new map, to then come back some time later on the same one with new ideas, and improvements. So all in all I’ve worked on more than 30 maps (to improve them, create them, debug them, …).

My main mission was to create the exits of the game (i.e. the border crossings, so the last maps that the player will see).
